Carbon footprint 2007/08
The impact we create as an organisation has been measured and verified by carbon management and sustainability consultants, dcarbon8. The figures below are the result of data collected up to and including February 2008 to give us our carbon footprint for this past year.
Included in these measurements were electricity and gas usage (in our 297 m2 building), commuting to work and business mileage, rail, flights, taxis and bus use along with all the paper we get through, and waste we create (food, cans, glass and plastic bottles, general paper waste and electronic waste).
Taking all of this into account our carbon footprint has been calculated as 102.36 tonnes CO2e, which equates to 3.79 tonnes CO2e per employee.
As part of our commitment to being Planet Positive, not only will we offset this amount PLUS a further 10‰ we will actively seek to reduce our footprint year on year.
